Tesshin is walking!!! Yay!!! Once he starting cruising along furniture, everyone said "He'll be walking in no time". I didn't believe that it would be this quickly. It seems like he would build up his confidence little by little, day by day. It was three steps in the beginning, then it went to five. Then it would be from one object to the next. Just a week ago, he walked from the TV to the couch - easy breezy. I think as long as he knew where he was going, he would try to get there. This past Monday, he actually pulled himself up to a standing position (in the middle of the rug, nothing around him to help him get up) and took three steps, paused, took another three steps and then fell to his knees. The daycare lady has been saying that he'll walk from one side of the room to the other side and then clap his hands. He'll have a huge grin on his face like "Yay, I made it without falling on my butt!" We would walk outside and he would reach up for our hands to help him but today he wanted to do it all on his own. After dinner, he got down from his high chair and walked from the kitchen to the living room - no problem. I'm pretty positive that he'll be really walking, maybe even running by the time we go to Japan.
